Reducing our Emissions

Celebrating a positive carbon emissions report two years running.

Harrows is proud to report that for the second year in a row, we have consistently achieved a reduction in carbon emissions as a percentage of sales. This means we’ve been able to manufacture and deliver more furniture, in more efficient and environmentally conscious ways.

Harrows have been a Carbon Conscious certified business measuring our footprint since 2021. In our first year, we achieved a 2% overall reduction and 20% reduction as a percentage of sales, backing that up with a 12% reduction in emissions as a percentage of sales for the most recent period. Successfully delivering reductions and efficiencies throughout the process.

This means that we have been able to grow our business, manufacturing and delivering more furniture to more clients throughout New Zealand, while employing more efficient and environmentally conscious processes. At Harrows we believe in responsible manufacturing and are continuously working towards making a meaningful difference.

Harrows Timaru Factory

Harrows is certified through Ekos, which is a business that develops and supports carbon projects that grow and protect forests in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Ekos’ forest carbon projects deliver climate resilience, waterways protection, erosion control, biodiversity protection and community economic development.
